Returns & Exchanges

Every piece is made especially for you. If something is not right with your order, our Client Care team is here to review it carefully and help determine the appropriate resolution.

Made especially for you

Thoughtful support for every order

Every SIJI Jewellery piece is individually produced after your order is confirmed. Because made-to-order jewellery is created according to the selected stone, finish, colour and size, return and exchange eligibility may differ from standard ready-made merchandise.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, incomplete or different from what was confirmed, contact us promptly. Our team will review the matter carefully and guide you through the appropriate resolution.

At a glance

Understanding return eligibility

01

Made-to-Order Jewellery

Pieces produced in your selected size, stone option, colour or finish may not be eligible for return simply because of a change of preference.

02

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Contact us immediately if the jewellery or parcel arrives damaged, defective, incomplete or different from your confirmed order.

03

Review Before Resolution

All return, repair, replacement and exchange requests are subject to inspection and verification by SIJI Jewellery.

04

Original Condition

Approved items must be returned unworn, unused and complete with their original packaging, certificates and included accessories.

Detailed policy

Before requesting a return or exchange

Please review the following information before contacting our Client Care team.

Eligible return or exchange requests

A return, exchange, replacement or repair request may be considered when:

  • The item arrives damaged.
  • The item has a confirmed manufacturing defect.
  • An incorrect product or variant was delivered.
  • The parcel is missing a confirmed component.
  • The item materially differs from the confirmed order details.

Approval remains subject to inspection, supporting evidence, order verification and applicable consumer rights.

Made-to-order and personalised pieces

Jewellery made in a selected size, personalised finish, customised stone configuration, engraving or modified design is created specifically for the customer.

Such pieces may not be accepted for return or exchange because of a change of mind, preference, colour selection, stone choice, finish selection or incorrect size selected by the customer.

This does not affect remedies that may apply when an item is damaged, defective, incorrect or otherwise covered by applicable law.

Items that may not qualify

A request may be declined when the item:

  • Shows signs of wear, alteration or accidental damage.
  • Has been resized, repaired or modified by another jeweller.
  • Is missing certificates, packaging or included accessories.
  • Has been exposed to chemicals, impact, misuse or improper care.
  • Was customised or engraved according to the customer's request.
  • Is returned without prior authorisation.
Reporting a damaged or incorrect delivery

Contact us as soon as possible after delivery and provide:

  • Your order number.
  • Clear photographs of the outer parcel.
  • Clear photographs and video of the jewellery.
  • A description of the problem.
  • An unboxing video where available.

Keep all packaging, labels, certificates and accessories until the matter has been reviewed.

Return authorisation and shipping

Do not send jewellery back without written return authorisation from SIJI Jewellery.

If a return is approved, our team will provide the applicable return instructions and destination address. The item must be securely packed and sent using a traceable shipping service.

Responsibility for return shipping charges depends on the reason for the request and the outcome of our inspection.

Inspection and resolution

After the item is received, it will be inspected by our team. Depending on the verified issue, the resolution may include:

  • Repair.
  • Replacement.
  • Exchange.
  • Store credit.
  • Refund, where approved and applicable.

The most appropriate resolution depends on the nature of the issue, product condition, availability and applicable law.

Refund processing

When a refund is approved, it will generally be issued to the original payment method.

Bank and payment-provider processing times vary. Any non-refundable payment-gateway charges, shipping charges, duties or service fees will be handled according to the reason for the return and applicable requirements.

Order cancellation

Contact us immediately if you need to request cancellation.

Because production may begin shortly after confirmation, cancellation is not guaranteed once manufacturing, sourcing, CAD work, sizing, engraving or stone preparation has started.

Any approved cancellation, deduction or credit will depend on the work already completed and costs already incurred.

Ring sizing concerns

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct size before confirming an order.

Resizing may be possible for certain designs, but some eternity bands, tension settings, engraved pieces and intricate designs may have technical limitations.

Resizing charges, metal requirements and shipping costs may apply after inspection.

Client care

Jewellery Care

Preserve the brilliance, finish and craftsmanship of your SIJI jewellery through thoughtful everyday care.

Preserve its brilliance

Thoughtful care for lasting beauty

Fine jewellery is designed to be worn and enjoyed, but regular care helps preserve its brilliance, finish and structural integrity.

Every SIJI piece is handcrafted in genuine 925 sterling silver and may feature Premium Moissanite or Lab-Grown Diamonds. The correct care routine depends on the stone, finish and frequency of wear.

Everyday care

Simple habits that protect your jewellery

01

Wear It Last

Put your jewellery on after applying perfume, hairspray, makeup, lotion or other cosmetics. Allow products to dry before wearing your piece.

02

Remove Before Water

Remove jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising, cleaning or entering chlorinated or salt water.

03

Avoid Chemicals

Keep jewellery away from bleach, detergents, sanitiser, chlorine, acids, hair products and household cleaning solutions.

04

Protect From Impact

Remove jewellery during heavy work, sport, gym activity or any task that may expose it to impact, pressure or scratching.

Finish-specific guidance

Care for the finish you selected

Natural silver

Classic Silver Finish

Genuine sterling silver may gradually develop surface oxidation when exposed to air, humidity, cosmetics or chemicals.

  • Wipe gently with a clean, soft silver-polishing cloth.
  • Store in a dry, airtight pouch when not in use.
  • Avoid abrasive powders, brushes and harsh cleaners.
  • Professional polishing can restore the original brightness.

Bright white protection

Premium Nickel Rhodium Finish

The nickel barrier and rhodium surface create a brighter white appearance while helping reduce direct exposure of the silver to air and moisture.

  • Clean only with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.
  • Do not use silver dip, polishing paste or abrasive cloths.
  • Avoid perfume, chlorine, detergent and sanitiser.
  • Under normal care, the finish may help resist darkening for approximately 6–7 months. Actual wear varies.

Gold appearance

Luxury Gold Vermeil Finish

Gold-coloured plating is applied over genuine 925 sterling silver to provide the appearance of fine gold jewellery.

  • Wipe gently after every wear with a dry, soft cloth.
  • Never use polishing compound or silver cleaner.
  • Remove before bathing, swimming or exercising.
  • Avoid friction against hard surfaces and other jewellery.
  • Eligible pieces include complimentary lifetime re-plating, subject to inspection and service terms.

Stone care

Keep every facet bright

Oils, soap and cosmetics can settle around the stone and setting, reducing visible brilliance even when the jewellery is not damaged.

Premium Moissanite

Moissanite is suitable for regular wear, but grease and product residue can temporarily reduce its sparkle.

  • Use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap.
  • Clean gently using a very soft brush.
  • Rinse thoroughly and dry with a lint-free cloth.
  • Avoid thermal shock, harsh chemicals and forceful scrubbing.
Lab-Grown Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds and are highly durable, but the metal and setting surrounding them still require care.

  • Clean with mild soap and lukewarm water.
  • Use a soft brush around the underside and setting.
  • Do not use sharp tools to remove dirt.
  • Have the prongs and stone security checked periodically.
Coloured Stones and Fancy Shapes

Pear, marquise, emerald, baguette and other pointed or elongated shapes may be more vulnerable at their tips and corners.

  • Avoid knocks against hard surfaces.
  • Store separately to prevent contact with other jewellery.
  • Do not apply pressure to exposed points or corners.
  • Seek professional inspection if the stone feels loose.

At-home cleaning

A gentle cleaning routine

01

Prepare

Mix a small amount of mild soap with lukewarm water. Avoid hot water and aggressive cleaning products.

02

Soak Briefly

Allow the jewellery to sit briefly in the solution to loosen surface oils and residue.

03

Clean Gently

Use a very soft brush around the stone and setting without applying excessive pressure.

04

Rinse Thoroughly

Rinse carefully with clean lukewarm water while protecting the jewellery from an open drain.

05

Dry Completely

Pat dry with a soft lint-free cloth and allow the piece to air-dry completely before storage.

Do not use this method when your jewellery contains glued components, delicate non-diamond stones or damaged settings. Contact SIJI Jewellery first when uncertain.

Safe storage

Protect it when it is not being worn

  • Store every piece separately to reduce scratching.
  • Use a soft-lined box or individual airtight pouch.
  • Keep jewellery away from humidity, sunlight and heat.
  • Ensure the piece is completely dry before storing it.
  • Keep chains fastened to help prevent tangling.
  • Do not place heavy jewellery over delicate settings.

Professional attention

When to stop wearing the piece

Stop wearing the jewellery and contact us if you notice:

  • A loose or moving stone.
  • A bent, lifted or missing prong.
  • A cracked band or damaged setting.
  • A clasp that no longer closes securely.
  • Significant finish wear or visible plating loss.
  • Damage following impact or accidental pressure.

Continuing to wear damaged jewellery may increase the risk of further damage or stone loss.

Lifetime support

Let us help preserve your SIJI piece

Contact our Client Care team for cleaning, inspection, polishing, finish assessment, re-plating or repair guidance.

Finish durability varies according to wear, skin chemistry, moisture, cosmetics, chemicals, storage and care. Care guidance does not replace professional inspection where damage, looseness or structural concerns are present.

Certifications & Authenticity

Understand the metal, stone and independent documentation that may accompany your SIJI Jewellery creation.

Confidence through transparency

Authenticity you can understand and verify

At SIJI Jewellery, we believe that customers should understand exactly what they are purchasing. Every product description is prepared to communicate the selected metal, stone type, finish and relevant jewellery specifications as clearly as possible.

Eligible lab-grown diamonds may be supplied with an independent grading report from a recognised gemmological laboratory. Certification availability depends on the stone size, product configuration and certification option confirmed for the order.

Independent documentation

Understanding diamond certification

A grading report records the characteristics of the individual diamond examined by the issuing laboratory. It is not the same as a valuation, appraisal or resale guarantee.

01

IGI Certification

Eligible lab-grown diamonds may be accompanied by a grading report issued by the International Gemological Institute.

The report may record information such as carat weight, colour, clarity, measurements, proportions and identifying details, depending on the type of report issued.

02

SGL Certification

Certain eligible diamonds may be supplied with documentation from Solitaire Gemmological Laboratories, depending on the selected stone and certification arrangement.

Customers should compare the identifying details shown on the report with the documentation supplied alongside their order.

03

IDT Documentation

Where applicable, selected stones may include testing or grading documentation from IDT according to the stone and service confirmed for the order.

The exact issuing laboratory and report type will depend on the product configuration and certification option selected.

Reading your report

What diamond documentation may include

The exact information depends on the laboratory and report type, but eligible reports commonly describe several key characteristics.

Report or identification number

A unique report number helps identify the grading document. Where a microscopic inscription is present on the diamond, the inscription may correspond with the report number.

Diamond type

The report may state whether the examined stone is a laboratory-grown diamond and may include information about the growth process or detectable post-growth treatment.

Carat weight

Carat describes the weight of the diamond. It does not describe the visible dimensions by itself, because shape, proportions and cutting style also influence how large the stone appears.

Colour grade

Colour grading describes the presence or absence of visible body colour under controlled grading conditions. Fancy-colour diamonds use a different colour-description system.

Clarity grade

Clarity grading considers internal and external characteristics observed under controlled magnification. The grade does not mean that every stone will look identical to the unaided eye.

Measurements and proportions

Measurements describe the physical dimensions of the diamond. Proportion information may include depth, table, girdle and other characteristics depending on the report.

Cut, polish and symmetry

Depending on shape and report type, the document may include grades or observations relating to cut quality, polish and symmetry.

Microscopic identification

Diamond laser inscriptions

Certain certified diamonds may carry a microscopic inscription along the girdle. This inscription is generally too small to see without magnification and may contain the corresponding report number or another identifying reference.

The presence, format and content of an inscription depend on the stone and laboratory service. Not every diamond or jewellery item will carry an inscription.

How it can be examined A trained jeweller or gemmologist may use a loupe or microscope to locate and read an inscription where one is present.

Metal transparency

Understanding 925 sterling silver

The term 925 sterling silver refers to a silver alloy containing 92.5% silver, with the remaining portion consisting of other metals added to improve strength and suitability for jewellery.

Eligible jewellery may carry an applicable fineness or maker mark. The exact marking depends on the product, manufacturing process and requirements applying to the item.

Surface finishes such as rhodium or gold-coloured plating are applied over the sterling-silver base and do not change the underlying metal description.

Know your stone

Moissanite and lab-grown diamonds

Premium brilliance

Moissanite

Moissanite is a distinct gemstone known for strong brilliance and fire. It is not a diamond, although it may have a diamond-like appearance when set in jewellery.

Product specifications should be reviewed to confirm the stone type, approximate size and design details selected.

Real diamond

Lab-Grown Diamond

A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond created through a controlled technological process. It has the same fundamental crystal structure and optical properties as a mined diamond.

Eligible lab-grown diamonds may be supplied with independent grading documentation according to the selected stone and product.

Customer verification

How to review your documentation

01

Review the Product Details

Confirm the metal, stone type, selected finish, stone weight and any certification option shown in your order confirmation.

02

Check the Report Number

Compare the identifying number shown on the supplied grading document with any accompanying order documentation.

03

Use the Laboratory Service

Where available, use the issuing laboratory's official report verification facility to review the corresponding record.

04

Inspect the Stone

A jeweller or gemmologist may examine the stone under magnification to locate an inscription where one is present.

05

Contact SIJI Jewellery

Contact our Client Care team if the supplied documentation is unclear or appears inconsistent with your confirmed order.

Important information

Certification availability

  • Not every Moissanite or lab-grown diamond is supplied with an individual grading report.
  • Smaller accent stones are commonly described collectively and may not carry individual reports or laser inscriptions.
  • The issuing laboratory may differ according to the selected stone, report availability and order agreement.
  • A grading report describes the examined stone and is not an appraisal, insurance valuation or resale-price guarantee.
  • Stone colour and appearance may vary slightly because of lighting, screen settings, cut, setting style and photography.
  • Customers should confirm certification requirements before placing an order when an individual report is essential.

Everything you need to know

Explore answers about our made-to-order process, 925 sterling silver, stone options, finishes, custom jewellery, shipping, certification and after-sales support.

For product-specific information, always review the description and specifications shown on the individual product page.

01

Ordering

Made-to-order process

Is every SIJI Jewellery piece made to order?

Yes. Every jewellery item is produced only after the order is confirmed. We do not maintain finished jewellery inventory.

This allows our craftsmen to manufacture the selected size, stone option, metal colour and finish specifically for each customer.

How long does production take?

Standard production takes approximately 10–12 working days before quality inspection and dispatch.

Custom designs, unusual sizes, engraving or special stone requirements may need additional production time.

What happens after I place my order?

Your order details are reviewed before manufacturing begins. The jewellery then moves through production, stone setting, finishing, polishing, quality inspection, secure packaging and dispatch.

Can I change my order after placing it?

Contact us immediately if you need to request a change. Modifications are not guaranteed after production has started.

Additional charges or production time may apply when a change requires new materials, resizing, stone replacement or design modification.

Can I cancel my order?

Cancellation requests must be made as quickly as possible. Because every item is made specifically for the customer, cancellation may not be possible once manufacturing or material preparation has begun.

02

Materials

925 sterling silver

What metal is used in SIJI jewellery?

Our standard jewellery collection is crafted in genuine 925 sterling silver.

Solid 14KT and 18KT gold versions are available separately through our custom jewellery consultation service.

What does 925 sterling silver mean?

The 925 designation refers to an alloy containing 92.5% silver. Other metals are added to improve strength and make the silver suitable for jewellery manufacturing.

Is 925 sterling silver real silver?

Yes. Sterling silver is genuine silver alloyed for improved durability. Pure silver alone is generally too soft for many jewellery designs.

Can sterling silver tarnish?

Genuine sterling silver can gradually oxidise when exposed to air, humidity, cosmetics, chemicals or improper storage.

The selected surface finish and regular care influence how quickly visible tarnishing or finish wear may occur.

Are all items hallmarked?

Eligible pieces may carry applicable fineness or maker marks. The exact marking depends on the product, design, manufacturing process and applicable requirements.

03

Stones

Moissanite and lab-grown diamonds

What stone options are available?

Every standard design is offered with a choice between Premium Moissanite and Lab-Grown Diamonds, subject to the specifications shown on the product page.

Is Moissanite a diamond?

No. Moissanite is a distinct gemstone with its own chemical composition and optical characteristics.

It is known for strong brilliance and fire and may have a diamond-like appearance when set in jewellery.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds produced through a controlled technological process. They have the same fundamental crystal structure and optical properties as mined diamonds.

Which stone option should I choose?

Choose Premium Moissanite for strong brilliance and value. Choose Lab-Grown Diamond when you prefer a real diamond with diamond-specific grading characteristics.

Do both options look identical?

No. Moissanite and diamond interact with light differently. Moissanite generally displays stronger rainbow fire, while diamond has its own characteristic brilliance and scintillation.

04

Finishes

Colour and surface protection

What metal colours are available?

Designs are available in white, yellow and rose colour finishes over the 925 sterling-silver base.

What is Premium Nickel Rhodium?

Premium Nickel Rhodium uses a nickel barrier layer followed by a bright rhodium coating. It creates a crisp white appearance and helps reduce direct exposure of the silver to air and moisture.

How long does Nickel Rhodium protection last?

Under normal care, the finish may help resist visible darkening for approximately 6–7 months.

Actual durability varies according to frequency of wear, skin chemistry, water, cosmetics, chemicals, friction and storage.

What is Luxury Gold Vermeil Finish?

Luxury Gold Vermeil is a gold-coloured jewellery plating applied over genuine 925 sterling silver.

It provides the appearance of gold while retaining a sterling-silver foundation.

Will Gold Vermeil fade over time?

All plated finishes can gradually wear according to friction, moisture, chemicals, skin chemistry and frequency of use.

Proper care and storage help preserve the finish for longer.

Do you provide free re-plating?

Eligible Gold Vermeil pieces include complimentary lifetime re-plating service, subject to inspection and SIJI Jewellery's prevailing service terms.

Shipping, repair, stone replacement or other service charges may apply where relevant.

05

Sizing

Ring sizes and custom measurements

Are all ring sizes available?

Most ring designs can be produced in a broad range of sizes. Availability depends on the design, stone setting and technical construction.

How do I choose the correct ring size?

The most reliable method is to have your finger measured by a professional jeweller using the same sizing system shown on the product page.

Finger size may vary with temperature, time of day and swelling.

Can my ring be resized after delivery?

Certain designs can be resized after inspection. Full eternity bands, tension settings, detailed engravings and some complex designs may have limited resizing possibilities.

Charges and production time may apply.

Can bracelets or necklaces be made in another length?

Selected designs can be customised in length before production. Contact us before ordering to confirm technical feasibility and pricing.

06

Shipping

Dispatch and delivery

When will my order be dispatched?

Dispatch takes place after production, finishing and final quality inspection are complete.

Standard production is approximately 10–12 working days before dispatch.

Do you ship across India?

Yes. Domestic orders are shipped through trusted courier partners, subject to destination serviceability.

Do you offer international shipping?

International shipping may be available for selected destinations. Contact us before ordering to confirm availability, shipping charges and applicable customs requirements.

How will I receive tracking information?

Tracking information is shared after the parcel has been dispatched through the contact details provided during checkout.

What should I do if the parcel looks damaged?

Do not accept a parcel that appears opened, crushed, wet, resealed or tampered with. Photograph the parcel and contact SIJI Jewellery immediately.

07

Returns

Returns and exchanges

Can I return a made-to-order item?

Made-to-order and personalised items may not qualify for return simply because of a change of preference.

Contact us if the item arrives damaged, defective, incomplete or different from the confirmed order.

What should I do if I receive an incorrect item?

Contact us promptly with your order number, clear photographs, packaging details and a description of the issue.

Can I send an item back without approval?

No. Do not return jewellery without written authorisation and return instructions from SIJI Jewellery.

How are approved refunds processed?

Approved refunds are generally issued to the original payment method after inspection. Payment-provider processing times may vary.

08

Certification

Authenticity and documentation

Are all lab-grown diamonds certified?

No. Individual certification depends on stone size, product configuration and the certification arrangement confirmed for the order.

Smaller accent stones are commonly described collectively and may not carry separate grading reports.

Which laboratories may issue the reports?

Eligible stones may be supplied with documentation from laboratories such as IGI, SGL or IDT, depending on the selected stone and certification service.

What does a diamond grading report include?

Depending on the report type, it may include carat weight, colour, clarity, measurements, proportions, polish, symmetry and identifying information.

What is a diamond laser inscription?

Certain certified diamonds may carry a microscopic inscription on the girdle containing a report number or identifying reference.

It generally requires magnification to locate and read.

09

Bespoke

Custom jewellery

Can I order the same design in solid gold?

Yes. Existing SIJI designs may be commissioned separately in 14KT or 18KT solid gold, subject to design feasibility.

White, yellow and rose gold options are available through a personalised quotation.

Do you create completely custom designs?

Yes. Our custom service can help develop a new design or modify an existing SIJI creation.

How is custom pricing calculated?

Pricing depends on metal purity, metal weight, stone type, carat weight, design complexity, setting work, size and certification requirements.

Can I request engraving?

Engraving may be available for selected designs. Contact us before ordering to confirm available space, character limits and additional charges.

10

After-sales care

Warranty and lifetime support

What lifetime support is available?

SIJI Jewellery provides ongoing assistance for cleaning, inspection, polishing, finish assessment, re-plating and repair guidance.

Complimentary service does not necessarily include replacement stones, repairs, shipping or damage caused by wear or misuse.

What is covered as a manufacturing defect?

A manufacturing defect is an issue confirmed to result from the original production of the item rather than impact, improper use, wear, chemical exposure or third-party alteration.

Every claim is subject to inspection.

Is accidental damage covered?

Accidental damage, bent settings, stone loss following impact, scratching, chemical damage and normal finish wear are not generally treated as manufacturing defects.

Repair service may still be available after inspection and quotation.

Can another jeweller repair my SIJI piece?

Third-party alteration, resizing, repair or polishing may affect future service eligibility because the original construction can no longer be verified.
